As someone who has been in education for over 20 years, I have extensive experience of working in fast paced, highly challenging and demanding environments and I am ready and committed to using all my experience and apply it to all opportunities I may be fortunate to be offered in this industry. Acting, dancing, singing, performing and presenting are all something I have been living and breathing from a young age and have continued this passion of mine into my adult life. As a member of a local Musical Society, in recent years I have performed in several musical productions as a chorus member, as a lead on multiple dance numbers and in some shows I was cast in more leading roles. Some of the shows I have the pleasure to perform include 'Sunshine on Leith', 'Little Shop of Horrors', 'Rock of ages' and 'Sister Act' to name only some. This year I have decided to take a step back from education to allow me the opportunity and time to pursue my passion further and make it more a reality. In my first week of applying for roles, I was offered a paid acting opportunity to play a client of a hypnotherapist and immediately following this opportunity I was recommended by the casting agent who identified me as someone who was able to take direction, was reliable and easy to work with. As much as I may be considered as somewhat as a "newbie" in this industry, I am highly professional, eager and willing to learn and if I am successful in being cast for roles then I promise you I am reliable with a fun and upbeat personality.

Skills

Throughout my career, I have been informed and reminded that one of my key strengths and skills is my ability to forge positive relationships who is trusted and well respected by others. I am highly driven, and I endeavour to always work to the best of my ability, no matter what that is. This is a skill and quality which I know is essential in this industry, particularly when having to learn lines or character roles and when I commit to a job, I have demonstrated that it is an absolute priority for me to give 100% in everything I do. I can work both effectively both as a team player and in an individual environment if required. I am confident in nature, yet I am always happy to learn and take direction from others, another area which is key in this industry. For the past 20 years I have taught dance in secondary schools ranging from S1 to S6 pupils and this has included leading and delivering National 5 and Higher Dance senior phase qualifications. I am confident at performing in front of others and can readily adapt to different roles and characters. I am an extremely reliable person with strong morals and values, I am empathetic and compassionate who you can wholeheartedly depend on if I am cast for roles.
