Saturday job as a schoolgirl working in Woolworths Paisley-I was the lucky one,I was at the deli counter, my friend had to work in the freezer🤣.
As a student I worked at Glasgow Airport,12 hour shifts at the duty free section, really enjoyed it and the buzz of travel going on all around.
Started professional career with Scottish Ballet Orchestra then became a member of the SNO(now the RSNO) then I moved to become a member of the Scottish Opera Orchestra. I worked as a full time player and as a free lancer for about 25years-Loved it all, wonderful music, great to be part of a team and also opportunities to see some other parts of the world. One of the Highlights was playing in the Pavarotti concert in the SECC-What an atmosphere, magical-As I recall I got paid around £60 for the afternoon rehearsal and evening concert , whereas Signor Pavarotti (who could not read music) got paid significantly more🤣🤣🤣.
Went into teaching full time for thirteen years before retiring.
Started a small business making and decorating wedding cakes which I did for about five years.I help out at the local Foodbank, started invigilating this year, I am a delivery driver for a friend who has a very successful wedding cake business and I look after my grandchildren when I can (they live down south).

Skills

Good transferable skills from my job, take directions well and am used to performing.
I enjoy being with other people and working in a team.
Enjoy yoga, walking, tennis, reading, eating out with friends, making sugarflowers and decorating cakes.Play the piano badly and I am trying to learn Italian.
