I am an ASN auxiliary in a senior school and freelance outdoor instructor. In my previous employment I was an outdoor pursuits instructor at a residential adventure centre for people with disabilities.
This has given lots of experience working as part of a team with a wide variety of people. I have a pragmatic, flexible approach to getting things done in a customer service environment.

Drama
For 20 years I was part of Keswick Street Theatre, an amateur group giving outdoor and indoor performances to raise money for local charities. Shows usually involved playing multiple roles with fast changes of costumes, characters and accents.
I also performed with several other amateur theatre groups, mostly unpublished scripts, I often ended up as a soldier with PTSD.
I have spoken at regional and national conferences about my work in adaptive outdoor activities

Skills

I have 40 years experience as an outdoor pursuits instructor. I am a qualified instructor in dinghy sailing; powerboating; canoeing and kayaking and rock climbing. I am a yachting Day Skipper. I have previously held instructor qualifications in archery; high ropes courses and orienteering.
I am competant at paddleboarding, coracles, bushcraft, mountain biking, downhill and nordic skiing.
I am a very experienced D1+E minibus and trailer driver. I have full motorcycle licence.
I was a trained Community First Responder with the North West Ambulance Service and a CPR instructor with the British Heart Foundation.
